2021 Cut-your-own Sunflower Festival

The 2021 Cut-your-own Sunflower Festival will be Wednesday, July 28 through Sunday, August 1. We plant over 30,000 seeds representing a dozen varieties of “cutting” sunflowers, with a variety of maturing dates, ensuring that when we start blooming, we will have a gorgeous field that week!

Thursday, July 29, 6:30 – 8:30 George Lenzi
Friday, July 30 6:30 – 8:30 Scott Duncan

Sunday, August 1, 11:00 – 1:00 David Hinson
Sunday, August 1, 6:30 – 8:30 The Shandies

Admission to the Sunflower Festival is $5 per adult, children under 16 are free.  Cut sunflowers are $1 per stem.

Admission includes access to the sunflower field for pictures and cutting, games and crafts for the kids,  photo props, and shaded picnic areas.  Please feel free to bring a picnic lunch or dinner, and stay as long as you would like and take all the pictures you would like.  You might bring your own camp chairs, too. We also have soft drinks, tea and water, chips, cookies, trail mix and ice cream available to purchase. We have live music every evening and weekend days—watch the schedule for who’s playing.

Because of COVID, we will not provide gloves this year and cannot do the pulled pork dinner fundraiser, but we will still have buckets and pruners. We will disinfect the pruners and bucket handles after each use. We encourage you to bring a bucket with water in your car to get the flowers home.  Use our potting bench to bundle your flowers with rubber bands or grab a vase and create your arrangement before you go. We also have small buckets you can purchase to get them home.

Sunflowers are $1.00 per stem.  We are open July 28 through August 1 from 10 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. for 2021!
